We need your help planning Winter Camp!  We are trying a new format for Winter Camp this year, and we need help coming up with ideas for activities for the event.  We are looking for a mix on indoor and outdoor activities either on the club property or in the surrounding area (urban hike, scavenger hung, etc), while trying to keep some of the traditions of our previous winter camps (how and where could we do a campfire ceremony).  Please come help brainstorm some ideas.  This parents only meeting will take place in the Executive Conference Room at the club (near the big gym) from 7-8pm on Thursday 1/15.

We are trying something new for Winter Camp this year.  Winter Camp will be at the Boys & Girls Club, including an overnight in tents in the gym.  Details are still being worked out, but camp will include activity rotations, a potluck dinner with the main course provided by the pack, and breakfast for anybody staying overnight.  An adult must attend with their scout for the duration, including the overnight.  More details to follow....

Our December pack event is our annual cookie and cider give-away at the East Aurora Carolcade.  We are once again partnering with the Masons for this event.  We ask that each family donate cookies (either homemade or store bought) that are individually wrapped or in bags to hand out to the public.  The Masons will be providing the cider.  For those who wish to help out at the table to give away cookies, we will arrive between 6:30 and 6:45pm in from of the Masonic Lodge at 645 Main St.  Please sign up on the pack calendar if you can help out at the table for a short period of time.

Our November pack event is a family swim at the EA Middle School pool.  We have the pool reserved from 6:30pm-8:30pm and will have two lifeguards on duty.  This event is open to the whole family.  At least one parent must attend for the duration.  See the pack calendar for more information and sign up so that we have a rough idea of how many people are coming.

For scouts in the pack attending Parkdale Elementary, this year they are inviting all students who participate in Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts to wear their uniforms to the Veterans Day Assembly at the school on November 10th.  The scouts will help escort the Honor Guard into the assembly.  If your son or daughter is a Parkdale student this is a great way to honor our veterans and to demonstrate how scouts are courageous and respectful.
